Betty Buckley Says Hello! to Dallas

Last night was a triumph for the Dallas Summer Musicals!  Betty Buckley sauntered on stage as Dolly, and owned the house from start to finish!

She is obviously a favorite of the play-goers; she received laughs, ovations, and cheers at so many points in her performance that it was almost continuous while she was on stage.

Let me say that Betty has lost none of her allure, her cheekiness, or her comedy timing.  All were in perfect play (no pun intended) last night.

And the production was an absolute confection....the colors of the costumes, the crisp dancing, and the TRAIN on stage were all elements to make a very happy theatre audience!  The dancing waiters were a huge hit; that particular number drew cheers and thundering applause!

But when Ms. Buckley descended her staircase clad in red satin and rhinestones with a feather fan as a topper, the audience went wild.  It was a true show-stopper, and she lived it up!!

Fabulous show, fabulous cast, and exceptional comedic turns makes me so very proud of the Dallas Summer Musicals.  They have taken what could have been a tired story from old Broadway and delivered us theatre-goers an exceptional experience.

Go see it with you family, your friends, by yourself...it is worth it just to watch Betty Buckley do what she does best: make us happy we showed up, and entertain us in a way that no one else can!!!
